Michelle Zillmann

As the principal of Intrinsic School of Dance, Michelle provides the essential development programs and extra curricula to ensure all students achieve their recreational and vocational goals in dance. Michelle is a qualified and registered teacher, holding a Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management, an Associate Teaching Diploma with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), and a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management. Her commitment to teaching safe dance techniques based on anatomy and kinesiology led to her receiving an ATOD Bursary Award in 2008.

Michelle trained in classical ballet, jazz and tap from the age of four (Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD)). Throughout her years as a dancer, she regularly performed in theatrical productions, television shows and at major sporting events.

In 1990, Michelle commenced teaching jazz at the Rochedale Sports Action Fitness Centre alongside her sister. She established the beginnings of Intrinsic School of Dance in 1993, and is now celebrating her 27th year as principal teacher and artistic director.

When Michelle isn’t sharing her love of dance, she enjoys spending time with her family (including two sons and a very spoilt kelpie). As well as being a qualified dance teacher, she holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Natural Systems and Wildlife Management.

 

Kim Pasquelin

Kim grew up in South Australia, beginning her teaching at the young age of 13. At 17, Kim relocated to Melbourne to train full time at The National Theatre Ballet School and followed on to gain her Advanced Diploma in teaching at the prestigious Australian Ballet School under the direction of Jacqui Dumont.

For the following six years Kim based herself in Victoria & South Australia teaching, performing, choreographing & adjudicating for numerous professional shows/events/schools. Her performing then took her further abroad to Japan and for the next five years Kim continued traveling, visiting over 40 countries whilst dancing with Dance Encore Productions (Sydney), Grayboy Entertainment (Sydney), Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines and P&O Australia. Kim now calls the Gold Coast home and is dedicated to teaching dance in a diverse range of styles and genres. Kim is a registered teacher with the RAD, A.T.O.D, C.S.T.D (Tap) and holds a Diploma in Dance Teaching & Management & Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

 

Zoë Bedford

Zoë Bedford trained extensively in classical ballet, jazz and tap prior to completing her Associate Teachers Diploma under the Australian Teachers of Dancing in 2006. Her passion for dance and commitment to the dance school means that she has been a much loved teacher over the past twenty years.

Zoë began studies in a Bachelor of Primary Education before switching her focus to dancing. Her portfolio includes being a teacher in Kinda Dance (6 years), a member of various dance troupes, and a loving mother.

Zoë coordinates many of the jazz and tap classes offered at Intrinsic School of Dance, but is also greatly relied on for her teaching skills in ballet, contemporary and hip hop.

 

Sharnee Bond

After 11 years of training at Intrinsic School of Dance, Sharnee was accepted into the Queensland Dance School of Excellence (QDSE), furthering her studies in ballet, pointe, repertoire, pas de deux, contemporary and jazz. When graduating from QDSE, Sharnee was invited to train with Lucid Dance Theatre (Brisbane’s Premier Contemporary Ballet Company). We look forward to having Sharnee continue her teachings in classical ballet, contemporary and jazz/hip hop this year.

 

Imogen Hasney

Since the age of five, Imogen had a persistent passion for dance that drove her to train extensively in classical ballet, jazz, musical theatre and many more styles. She realized early on in her dance career that her love for dance extended not only to performing but sharing her knowledge with students.

After completing two years of full time training at Conroy Performing Arts Centre, she went on to perform as a dancer at Dreamworld where she continues to brighten the days of countless guests. She has taught at numerous schools and studios around the Gold Coast and Brisbane and is never more content than seeing improvement and the joy of dance in her students.

 

Jessica Gollé

Jessica Gollé is an impassioned performer with trained experience in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, voice and acting for over 16 years. Her passion and talents have led to many performance opportunities including her recent contract as a Face-Character in Tokyo Disneyland.

Jessica is an inspiration to all her students, by providing a fun and vibrant atmosphere in classes whilst sharing her ongoing love for dance. She has studied a Bachelor of Entertainment Industries at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where she has created further industry connections and widened her knowledge of the performing arts industry.

 

Danica McKenzie

Danica trained at Intrinsic Dance for 11 years (classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary) before becoming a junior teacher at the age of 16. She has since become a regular teacher for several dance schools in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

Danica branched out into the fitness industry (becoming a personal trainer and fitness instructor) after completing a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, and a Certificate IV in Dance. Her wealth of experience as a dancer includes being a performer for Movie World, a cheerleader for the Gold Coast Titans and a promotional team member for Chase Creations Agency.
